Anja Beran trained in the stables of Manuel Jorge de Oliveira, a pupil of the well known Nuno Oliveira, and she brings a delightful view of the training specifics for correct dressage work. With the aid of her mentor Jorge de Oliveira she delivers here the all around approach to promote and develop the most confident and sound, satisfied horse in the art of dressage. She begins with a physical examination of the horse, it's weaknesses and asymmetries and continues with specific exercises to improve the physical constitution. Gracefulness, aesthetics, harmony and ease will be the fascinating results of her work. The horse, Flamingo, with whom she works here is a Westphalian gelding and she has worked with him here for a year. He has undergone many ups and downs, as we all know youngsters provide. Anja shows that application of her school is not limited to Iberian lines. In addition the Warendorf veterinarian Dr. Gerhard Heuschmann, a highly respected man in his field, explains the important aspects of classical training. A very useful expression here of the fundamentals of the Oliveira School, and some good tips and insights for the professional as well as lots of great help for the amateur trainer. Very enjoyable.
