Following a succinct explanation of biomechanics and the rider's technique the majority of this book is divided aptly into an original format. Each movement is described under the headings of description, purpose and effect, the do's and the don'ts, it's gone wrong when...and you can prevent it by.... From leg yields to long reins the advice is cleanly presented and this is a good reference guide for troubleshooting issues than may arise in training. Esteemed in both Sweden and Britain for many years before becoming a regular clincian here in the USA, Hans von Blixen-Finecke helped produce such notable riders as Christopher and Jane Bartle. Known for his humility in training and his special 'language of touch, the author has defined some very good starts for the trainer in all movements including using cavaletti and working up to haute ecole.
