Dive into this book and feast your mind. The horse and his hoof issues are extremely aptly discussed here with strong photography skills and case histories documenting each issue. The reader delves easily into the complexity of the hoof and the resultant limb and back issues that may result from foot problems. Logical writing begins with anatomy of the hoof and muscles/tendons, then the foot axis and limb conformation is discussed. You move on to cover trimming and special 'breakover' shoes. Then to extensive coverage of the disorders of the limbs and hooves in relation to hoof care and horseshoes. Over 1000 illustrations - and the illustrations are of the highest quality too.

thehorsestudio.com review; An awesome work with superior before and after camera work and a clear interpretation of all aspects of foot care. Sections on white line disease to sinker to toe inflammation to false quarters and dropped soles - plus everything in between. Modern day methods for treating the issues that arise are provided. I'd rate this book as a must have for any farrier, and certainly as a horse owner the knowledge is also invaluable. This book is extensively utilized in Holland by the veterinary community as well as the farrier, and the explanations and diagrams are extremely good. An admirable work. Highly Recommended.
