TheHorseStudio.com review: Paul Belasik has graced this book with a perfect blend of points on training of horses with masterful help of such names as Nuno Oliveira and Henri Van Schaik, self discovery and self awareness borne from personal hardships, and above all an honesty that is refreshing and inspirational. The mentorship of these dressage masters along with Paul Belasik's keen desire to find the right path in his life is a great read. A remarkable account of a horseman's journey as he discovers himself through his work with the horse. Some very interesting points are made about the bits used and double versus snaffle bridles and the present day discussions between the French and German Schools ( see books here at TheHorseStudio.com on Rollkur, Tug of War, and DVDs Christoph Hess in heated discussion and demonstration with Philippe Karl on Classical versus Classique, Klaus Balkenhol's life story on DVD discusses classical work and sport etc)., are readily brought to mind. A challenge for all thinking riders. Highly recommend the read.
