Whether you wish to teach your horse airs above the ground or simply improve your horse's overall performance and well being through suppleness and understanding, this book has the answers you need in a well written style with logical progression and sequence. Aids to application; Work on the Longe; long Reining , Suppling and Collection; Shoulder-in, travers and renvers and half pass; Flying changes and the pirouette ( especially good help here), Piaffe and passage; Spanish Walk; Airs above the ground, are all well covered.

thehorsestudio.com review: Highly recommend this author and this book is a particularly nice production quality too. While the book certainly stands alone as good advice I would recommend also the DVD of the same title and the Baroque Horse DVD on Long Reining as a compliment to the book. Richard Hinrichs pulls no punches, and his German background brings a direct approach to the Fillis and classical art of riding. He has a talent for being succinct in how he demonstrates as well as how he writes, and the work and understanding of centuries of riding at the Spanish Riding School are apparent in his ethic and his methods. Highly Recommended.
