Sound simple? Perhaps, but often overlooked and more responsible for issues with your horse than even an experienced rider might admit. This is a very interesting in depth integrated approach to solving the mental and physical issues that face horses often as a result of simple 'crookedness.' While many riders are away that crookedness is not helpful to forward movement, accuracy over a fence or long term soundness, many of us are not aware of the extent to which we often 'miss' the seemingly obvious. The Schoneich system incorporates both ground (much ground work) and under saddle exercise and training routines to help solve and demystify the process of resolving the straightness issue in your particular horse. Horses that are young and green through retraining the sore older horse are covered, and everything inbetween.

I have worked with horses of all ages and in multi disciplines for over 40 years and this book is a must read that I wish I had read many years ago. Super work here that is surprisingly succinct given the ideas covered and highly recommended read for every horse owner and trainer. Some of the ideas might not be new to the experienced rider, but the way in which the program is augmented might be - the exercises of the French School play ' heavily' here ( in the lightest possible way of course), - and riders English and Western, all disciplines will surely benefit their horse and their own lives by working with this program. Loved it.
