Teaching the Child Rider from Pamela Roberts Revised and Enlarged Edition that answers all your safety and training questions.

For more than 30 years this book has been a mainstay read for the trainee trainer, parent and coach of the child rider in the U.K. Covering the safety and concerns of the rider and the parents in great detail, Pamela brings her wealth of experience as Pony Club Grade Test Examiner, Judge and Journalist to this text.

This book is the latest revision and includes new color photos and illustrations. Trainers questions concerning the physical and psychological differences in teaching children are answered and sound advice with practical application is provided.

TheHorseStudio.com review: A great tool in aiding the trainer of children riders to progress their young charges with skill and confidence, with good instruction here on developing good communication techniques and safety rules. A very good book for the parent too - what equipment to buy, duration and frequency of lessons, selection of the right school, expected progress as well as lesson breakdowns and active riding. A neat study of the individuals character and best teaching applications are covered and it is an all around thoroughly British approach that is sensible, educational and informative. Highly recommend to anyone entering the sport - easy read cover to cover where you'll learn lots.
