This is a lovely photographic guide book that provides the Persian Horse, a breed that probably predates the Arab - into swift focus once again. Super riding horses and very suitable for driving as well as childrens riding horses - this breed is thought to date back to the second millennium and was rediscovered after a 1000 year absence in 1965. Pretty amazing eh?

Brenda Dalton has been a stalwart and important supporter of this breed's recovery in modern day and her knowledge is phenomenal. She has been involved in the breed since 1975 and owned the pre-revolution Iranian foundation mare Shirine.
