TheHorseStudio.com copyrighted review: Tina Bastian is an experienced horse breeder of Palomino Quarter Horses and has years of hands on mare, foal and stallion knowledge. In this book she guides the reader through both sides of the operation. The first part of the book covers the mare and the second the stallion. The photos are explicit and helpful. The text is written in a clean and concise manner, and provides good information that is especially helpful for the neophyte horse breeder or the horse owner that needs a recap on this happy process. The section on handling the stallion at a show was very useful and the photo help and text of the birthing process explicit. It's also handy as it cover pasture breeding, AI and also clearly details what to ask and expect from your vet in the breeding shed regarding equipment, timing etc. A good job and a nicely produced book.
