TheHorseStudio.com review: This is a wonderful resource for better understanding of the causes and symptoms of lameness complete with Xray data as well as illustrations that illuminate the horse's biomechanics clearly and concisely. A deep understanding of the cause and nature of lameness is well written by this world renowned expert on the subject.

A good resource for the student of veterinary medicine as well as the horse owner who would like to me more educated in the reading of Xrays and the implications of injuries. While treatments have come a long way since this book was first published in 1974, it is nevertheless an exact text that is a great resource for understanding the diagnosis and implications of lameness and their occurrence.

Surprisingly some treatment recommendations by James R. Ronney, grad of Cornell and Dartmouth and Pathology Professor at the University of Kentucky back in 1974 still hold best effort today. Excellent drawings and text here will certainly help you discuss options and better understand them from the viewpoint of physiology of the horse, when you work with your vet and farrier.
