Tim Fitzgeorge-Parker trained several winners himself, following his remarkable career with Atty Persse. His text is forthright, easy to assimilate and follow and gives lots of great tips. if you are sending your horse to the U.K. to race, the detail and coverage of the specific racetracks and how to best tackle them is invaluable. For the trainer starting up his own operation, the advice is useful and well learned. Some very witty and good advice on handling the horses and the owners, and tips from everything on how to cure the bed eating horse to how to use the gallops. Recommended read for anyone entering this industry and the U.K. tracks and European tracks, and lots of personal anecdotes make the book extremely readable. This edition is the revised and enlarged edition of 2004, the original was 1976.
