The Horse Studio is very proud to bring to you the work of internationally acclaimed artist Mary Brazier in our selection of greeting cards. This card is taken from the award winning picture entitled 'The Church Step at Christmas' which won several awards.

The inspiration for this oil painting was the tiny door of All Saints Church in Bedfordshire which leads up a narrow stairway to the church organ. The dove of peace sits on the stone step and the ivy wreath with red ribbon brings a note of holiday to the message. In addition to her artist talents Mary followed the very footsteps of her father in playing this church organ, and fondly remembers his teaching her how during his practice sessions for services while growing up. Set of five cards (with envelopes) on very high quality card.

Artist Bio: Accepted to revered Slade Art College in London Mary Brazier chose instead to work in Europe under the guidance and tutorage of many noted masters including Jose Cabanes of the Barcelona School Of Art. The fascination for nature, her spirit of adventure and challenge set the scene of her career. In addition to capturing changing season, settings and landscapes of countrysides worldwide, included noted works of Africa, England, Portugal and America,

Mary Brazier has also captured the industrial scene and completed many large scale commission pieces for major Corporations using the oil medium. These pieces are reknowned for their reference to the industrial impact on the environment. In addition to numerous exhibits on many Continents throughout her career Mary found time to give back to the art community by teaching art to 12-16 year olds, and was thrilled to be able to encourage and share her knowledge with young talent. Mary is an active member of art communities in England and in the U.S.A. For example, Mary Brazier is a member of the Kent Art Association, Connecticut, USA. Her awards in the U.S.A. include the Elizabeth Pennell Memorial Award.
