An exciting competition that saw blustery conditions tangle the efforts of some of the top world riders in this cross country competition. With dressage offering the popular rider Oliver Townsend an opportunity to take the advantage over the multi national teams present, the cross country phase was a showcase of the best in eventing sport. With 52 partnerships making the tough Captain Mark Phillips's shorter course, the obstacle design at the new complex the Land Rover Trout Hatchery was a significant issue. The competition between Australia's Sam Griffiths and New Zealand's Caroline Powell and our own Philip Dutton was fierce and made for a nail biting show jumping phase.

TheHorseStudio.com review: Always one of my favorite events this year did not disappoint. While the crowds clearly rooted for Oliver, the competition from down under was a sight to behold. The new course was very challenging and the seven new fences asked some clever questions of the riders and their fit mounts. A very close margin in each phase on the leader board made the event especially interesting, and the outcome was well deserved for the winner. A tough field and a good look at the highlights. The DVD also includes Winner's Analysis and Final Results. Great entertainment.
