TheHorseStudio.com review: We love to see inaugural events and were thrilled to see recent winner of Burghley 2009 Oliver Townend, who is such a good guy - bouncing happily about the Millenium Ring in Cardiff at this event with Flint Curtis. There were 19 riders vying for the hundred thousand pound prize, and the sport was kicking on in great style. This DVD captures the highlights that were broadcast on Sky Sports TV. The event drew names such as Oliver, Lucy Wiegersma, William Fox Pitt, Clayton Fredericks, Vittoria Panizzon and Caroline Powell. While Mark Todd admired the new concept for this new event riders enjoyed lots of fun putting their dressage to music for the first time at a formal "eventing" event. The crowd appreciated it too. Many riders actually failed to complete all 3 phases. Camera work is refreshing as is the commentary here from a merry band: Lizzie greenwood0Huges, Lucinda Fredericks, Justin Llewlyn and John Kyle. Alice Plunkett presents. This was the 2008 event.
