Part 1/2 part 1 - Training of horse on the longe. A discussion on the correct equipment and use of same, two rein longing to control the hindquarters and how to longe without a helper as well as with one. Part 2 Longing the rider, junior/basic and advanced rider, working on balance of the rider with loosening and advanced gymnastic exercises.

Part 3 - From 1st level through third level - snaffle to double bridle. Here Kottas offers systematic training exercises from 1st level thru Grand Prix. These naturally designed to develop the horse in the shortest possible time without overfacing him. Part 5 - This covers the work in hand toward piaffe and haute ecole exercises. The correct equipment, the use of the whip and lunge lines when working alone and with a helper . Correct use of the whip to develop passage/piaffe and work in hand with a mounted rider. Part 6 - This covers basic faults with the seat and position of most riders and ways to improve and solve these problems. Other common rider errors are addressed such as faulty communication of the aids, with cause and remedies. problems with rhythm and impulsion are discussed and remedial help given - plus how to handle and work with temperament issues in the competition horse.
