TheHorseStudio.com review. This is a wonderful movie and I love the soundtrack. That's not usually something that pops to mind in a movie review but this movie has it all. A great story of a gal trying to fit in and learning to follow a dream and not allowing others to undermine her fragile confidence in her self, a super pinto horse that steals several scenes, good acting from stars like Don Johnson, and the right measure of uplifting story and emotional back story. The fifteen year old girl is awkward and friendless until Checkers the pinto horse arrives in her life. Moondance then pursues a dream she never knew she had and enters her horse in to the horse show. In the process of training and preparing for the show she learns that only perseverance lands you in the winners circle. Some lovely cinematography rounds out a good film. Recommended.
