Preparing the Rider by Jimmy Williams: " It's what you learn after you think you know it all that counts."
810262
A neat quote from renowned horseman Jimmy Williams. Here he gives a jampacked 60 minutes of super help on how to best improve your talents as a rider. Jimmy Williams brings fifty years of experience and he has had six of his students become members of the United States Equestrian Team. A phenomenal achievement. This DVD is like having a lesson with him in person. His directives are clear and succinct and easy to apply for any rider.

Instruction includes gymnastics for developing rider strength and a secure seat. Plus how to use your legs simultaneously and separately. Find out how to find the right 'spot', how to use your seat as a mediator between legs and hands, how to read the horse's ears, and how to cut seconds from your course by making stock horse type turns on a jumper.

Superb help here.

thehorsestudio.com review: I've paid my dues training over bounces and riding in the menage on green horses and I wish I'd had this advice when I was competing. the turning techniques alone are invaluable. Riding using the seat on a jumper to maintain or change strides was always a little baffling for me when i was younger, but Jimmy Williams puts it all in great light and it's easy to follow and to adopt. I love Jimmy Williams - lots of other titles of his here in the store so check them out.
