TheHorseStudio.com review. I loved Shrek and the same studio has done a great job with this instant classic. Rated highly by folks like Leonard Maltin when I sat down to review this movie I expected great things. I'm pleased to report I wasn't disappointed. A real horse hero, this mustang adventure storyline with a setting of the American Frontier and a little love interest for the noble horse with a paint mare is a treat. The usual humor adds lots of entertainment (a la Shrek) and the young brave Lakota who befriends the horse and shares the ups and downs of the attempts to save their homeland and maintain their freedom is a good plot. Loved it. No big surprise there - Dreamworks rarely disappoints.
