thehorsestudio.com review: Talk about having fun with your horse. Circus tricks, free work and tricks in general are becoming all the rage in Europe ( we have several DVDs available from Germany and France on this subject as well as many book titles). Actually, I'd never tried it. So taking Josh's step by step instruction (pardon the pun), I began with my thoroughbred to see just what he would make of it all. It was incredible fun.

The details on the DVD are very good. Josh Lyons takes you through The Bow, beginning with picking up the foot, shifting the horse's weight to the back; and building a cue for the bow. In Laying Down, you use the bow to start, then roll the horse on his side and then keep the horse down until cued ( have to confess haven't worked the methods this far yet), then there is a section on sitting up, and work on teaching your horse to come to you, and making him easy to mount to ride, plus how to train your horse to keep his front feet still while moving up from the back end.
