The Long Shot Horse Movie. Inspired by a true story this movie tells the story of a young single mother who takes charge of her life and her dreams when she lands on a Colorado horse farm as a groomer and trainer.

Actress Julie Benz, who you may recall from the movie Taken, plays Annie Garrett. Annie is haunted by the death of her sister who was a budding rider at her side during childhood. Overcoming neglect from her mother, abandonment by her husband and surrounded by the doubts of her daughter, Annie rediscovers her passion for horses at a Colorado horse farm where she finds employment as a trainer and groom. Annie makes strides to recover her life and overcome her own insecurities through her interaction with a special horse. After much work she finally enters a horse show, but tragedy befalls her horse. The Long Shot is an adventure for the entire family, proving that miracles can happen if you have the courage to make them come true.

TheHorseStudio.com review: Some lovely scenery makes a good backdrop for this tale of recovery for this young single mother and her daughter. While life always throws you a new obstacle just when you are finding your way out of the woods, in this case the horse tragedy, the power to have faith in the future and to believe in yourself is the message here. Nicely directed by Georg Stanford Brown. Suitable for the entire family.
