While being orphaned and finding yourself working to muck stables at a traveling stunt show may not be the start in life you had hoped for, what you choose to make of the opportunities that come your way, is certainly in your control. In this story the orphan Sonora, played by Gabrielle Anwat, takes on her own list of challenges to become a death defying diver.

Working with horses on a daily basis and developing a teen romance with a loving friend (Michael Schoeffling), Sonora determined that she will wait patiently until 'Doc' gives her a shot at stardom. A cruel twist of fate nearly ends her dream, but with the help of her friend Sonora overcomes the odds in this heartwarming story of determination.
