DVD 1 - Lungeing and Breaking In

This DVD covers the first steps of lungeing and riding of young horses. Rudolf's sensitive approach and quiet demeanor convey to the horse and the relaxation in the horse as he progresses is apparent. The advice covers tack and equipment as well as methods of beginning the horse - assertive but quiet and yielding aids - and always patience and time given for the horse to respond.

Zeilinger here offers clear insight into building a solid first year foundation, and takes you through to a very real look at the horse's first experience in competition. DVD 3 - Lateral Work as a Key to Success

One of my favorite DVD's. This is a great contribution and insight from Rudolf Zeilinger into the timing of beginning the horse in lateral work, how to ensure the gymnastic requirements are fulfilled to elicit the maximum benefit to the horse and very fun to watch as Zeilinger show you his work on his horses - of various temperaments. So it is easy to identify which sort of horse your horse matches and Rudy addresses succinctly and with kindness just how to resolve the issues that come up when the horse is learning lateral movement. Superior suppleness, readiness for the FEI level movements and good attitude from the horse and confidence in his work will result from application of the information Rudy share here. No wonder he has successfully made himself so many riders and horses to the World Class levels. The impulsion, elasticity and mental ease and harmony through the lessons are apparent - the individual horse's 'fire' and well being is preserved, and the result is a horse ready to easily address the next questions.

DVD 4 - Counter Canter, Flying Changes, Canter Pirouettes

Many horses and/or their trainers find the flying change a stressful movement to successfully achieve - addressing the difficulties that almost always arise one way or another - Rudolf Zeilinger here shows, using his own horses, how such problems may be surmounted. Working without stress and with a true joy in the work - the horses try confidently to achieve the correct result. There is a lot of good help here and it's well worth reviewing before you start work on them yourself - even if you've done it before. Always more to learn and Rudolf provides some keys. Also covered here is much canter work, including half passes and the counter canter as prerequisite to the flying changes of course. Plus the ultimate collection in the canter, the pirouette. Another movement often misunderstood in the training program - once again Rudolf demonstrates clearly and succinctly how to school this movement successfully. By the end of the program you'll have a great basis to train the changes to ones (tempis), and address many of the FEI requirements successfully. Most importantly your horse will thank you and reward you with a calm and positive attitude.

A student of the great Willi Schultheis and known for his many Olympic successes with talents such as Michele Gibson, Zeilinger here brings his sensitivity and sensibility to the movements of collection and advanced work. Zeilinger shares his preferred methods for teaching these movements as well as how to improve the elasticity and elevation, working in both canter work and trot. His horses continues to grow in expression and lightness as he clearly demonstrates how to enhance the horse's natural abilities ered here are longeing, and the first steps of riding. This is Part 5.
