A comprehensive handy tome of a reference guide that takes you through the conformation and structure of the horse including color, breeds, teeth and all physical aspects. Muscles, bones, feet and lots of great diagrams to illustrate the points.

Learn the relationship between conformation issues and athletic ability, how balance and symmetry are important, digestive and neurological, respiratory and circulatory issues and the relationship between structure and function. A good book to read cover to cover and welcome addition to the library for future reference. Certainly a great resource too for the horse buyer in any discipline.

Dive into this book and feast your mind. The horse and his hoof issues are extremely aptly discussed here with strong photography skills and case histories documenting each issue. The reader delves easily into the complexity of the hoof and the resultant limb and back issues that may result from foot problems. Logical writing begins with anatomy of the hoof and muscles/tendons, then the foot axis and limb conformation is discussed. You move on to cover trimming and special 'breakover' shoes. Then to extensive coverage of the disorders of the limbs and hooves in relation to hoof care and horseshoes. Over 1000 illustrations - and the illustrations are of the highest quality too.
