Everyone has heard of Donnerhall and marveled over his superb gaits and admirable outline. This is a super DVD production from Germany but in English that includes Donnerhall relaxing at home at Gronwoldhof Stud Farm in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany as well as lots of super footage of him in competition across the world. It's a very inspiring DVD, the great training of the late Herbert Rehbein and Karen Rehbein apparent in all the flawless moves, and the good nature and individuality of this magnificent horse.

The DVD also provides lots of interviews with the people in Donnerhall's life, and some excellent coverage of both his dam. sire, and progeny/relatives, so is an excellent tool for the breeder. I have produced several Donnerhall related foals over the years and each one has had that special something. Donnerhall's breeder was not so pleased with Donnerhall when he popped out, which just goes to show how much we can really forecast from that first exciting moment of birth. A lovely production here with a fine eye from the director. Well worth watching more than once and a must for the library.

This is a superb book that brings you advice, tips and fantastic photos and comments/anecdotes from some of the very best dressage masters of our time. From Klaus Balkenhol, gold medal winner and Olympic coach to gold winning teams and Ernst Hoyos who is trainer to Ulla Salzgeber and was to Lisa Wilcox, George Theodorescu trainer of daughter Monica of course plus numerous ther medal winning riders and Uwe Shulten Baumer, trainer of Isabell Werth and Nicole Uphoff. Their credentials speak for themselves. In this book David Collins has taken the essence of each trainer and brought you into their homes and training yards, and with good questions and super photographs made available to you some tip top advice. Very specific questions only a dressage rider would ask like where do you use leg yields in the arena? To when does a rider need a new horse. Or a more general question like what was your greatest victory? Each master offers specific advice on the young horse training and on collection. VERY WELL PUT TOGETHER BOOK AND VERY ENGAGING. A beautiful book and excellent resource. Sorry...couldn't resist that one.
