The schooling of Horse and Rider over Ground Poles is a classic work from one of the great horsemanship masters of our time, Dr. Reiner Klimke. Along with his daughter Ingrid, an extremely successful international competitor the authors bring you a wealth of information on all the aspects of longeing the horse and rider, with cavaletti and ground poles and without.

This newly expanded version also includes an extended section on gymnastic jumping from Ingrid. We also have her DVD here at TheHorseStudio.com, Success Through Fitness, which encompasses a visual program of the Cavaletti work, and is very good.

Considering it was first published over 30 years, and is still the classic read on this topic, it is no surprise to find it so informative.

Dr. Reiner Klimke died in 1999, and won the gold medal for dressage at the Tokyo Olympics in 1964, and was five times European Champion. He was also chosen for the Olympic team for Mexico in 1968 and Munich in 1972. His daughter Ingrid, is also an international star of dressage, showjumping and eventing. This work from the late Dr. Klimke has some great advice and is a good read. Succinct, well explained and easy to assimilate, from one of the masters of horsemanship of our time. Highly Recommended. Lots of nice photos included too.
